How do I get beta access?

Updated Tue, Jun 2, 2020

VALORANT is no longer in beta. Play now at

VALORANT is currently in closed beta. The only way to get access is to watch VALORANT streams on Twitch. You must have a Riot account and you must connect your Riot and Twitch accounts.

  1. Connect your Riot account with Twitch
  2. Watch VALORANT streams
  3. Hope for an invite

Some details have that been surmised:

  • You must watch about 2 hours of streams to become eligible.
  • The sound must be on for the streams.
  • Invite selection is random but is slightly weighted based on hours watched.
  • You do not need to be on Twitch the very moment you get a drop

One last note about odds. On the first day that invites were opened, Twitch reported 1.7 million concurrent viewers. Riot initially reported 100,000 invites. That equates to around 5% of viewers receiving invites to the beta, a statistical rarity.
